Ahead of our week four encounter with Gor Mahia FC , the team received a timely boost with the duo of midfielder Kimathi Christopher and goalkeeper John Oyemba  returning to first team training today.

Kimathi suffered an Ankle sprain in pre-season training that has kept him out of action for the past 4 weeks with Oyemba returning after a two week absence.

We are delighted to announce the capture of goalkeeper Gad Mathews from western Stima FC on a 4 year deal. The young goalkeeper expressed his delight after putting pen to paper terming it as a positive move in his growth as a young player.

We are pleased to announce that goalkeeper John Oyemba has agreed to extend his contract with the club, the player penning down a three year deal with the club.

Having emerged as the keeper with the most clean sheets in the league last year and with his contract running out at the end of season,the club was determined to tie down the player with the  head coach terming the new contract as a 'reward' for an exceptional player'.

Oyemba joined sharks from Nairobi Stima FC in 2015 and he has been an instrumental player in the squad  with his heroics playing crucial roles in 2016 when we earned promotion to the KPL and in 2017 where we finished 3rd in our maiden season in the top tier league

Kariobangi Sharks Football club shall be hosting a preseason tournament from the 25th January to 27th January 2018 at the Utalii grounds in Nairobi. The club has invited  a total of 4 other teams  drawn from the top tier, NSL with Bandari FC, Mathare United FC ,KCB FC and Kibera Black Stars  FC having signed up for the tournament.

The 3 day tournament shall see a total of five matches  played daily . Sharks Chairman, Robert Maoga on the tournament :" its a privilege for us  to host the tournament and i believe this will help  the coach to gauge the team's level  of preparedness for the upcoming season".

Sharks is set to play its first match of the tournament against Bandari FC  on Thursday before taking on Mathare United immediately after

We are pleased to announce the signing of center forward Musa Ekai from Nakuru Allstars FC on a long term deal.

Speaking to sharks Media after putting pen to paper, the young striker expressed his delight   in joining sharks and has set his target in becoming a regular in the  first team sooner rather than later.

"I'm pleased to get this opportunity. I've been training with the team for the past couple of weeks and to finally get a contract here is a great  step in my career as I've always hoped to play top flight football though i never imagined the opportunity will come this early. Sharks is a good team, a dream team not only for me but for most upcoming players as it's one of the few teams that young players are given that are rare opportunity to prove their worth".

"I know there are a number of good strikers here and i will have to work even harder to earn a spot in the team. I've played alongside Sanneh (Ebrimma) during training sessions and he's been such an inspiration to me. the coach has challenged me to try and fill Masoud's shoes, i know it's quite a huge task (filling the void left by Masoud) but one that i'm relishing to take in the next 6 months or season later hopefully".
