The 2017 SJAK Awards went down last night in a colorful ceremony held in ceremony held in Nairobi, Sharks managing to take home the GOLDEN GLOVE and the GOLDEN BOOT. Jeff Oyemba , who had a good season keeping 16 clean sheets in 29 matches, was named the Goalkeeper of the year while Masoud Juma who emerged the league's top scorer  with 17 goals walked away with the Golden Boot.

Coach William Muluya was first runners up in the coach of the year category , Sam Ssimbwa of Sofapaka FC won the award having guided his team to a second place finish , one spot above sharks .

Congratulations to the winners and to the entire sharks team ; the playing unit, the technical bench, the management and not forgetting the fans... this is just the beginning .

 A man of the match performance from Ovella Ochieng saw Kenya's Harambee Stars qualify for CECAFA senior Challenge Cup semifinals after a 1-0 victory against neighbors Tanzania . The Tanzania defense couldn't  cope with the speedy winger who terrorized them the entire match managing to grab the assist for the only goal of the match.

Harambee Stars progress to the next stage of the tournament where they'll face Burundi in the first semi-final match set to be played in Kisumu on Thursday. Sharks  are represented in the national team by the trio of Patilla Omoto who has so far featured in all the matches, Masoud Juma scored the first goal of the tournament but has since been sidelined due  to injury and Ovella Ochieng has seemingly cemented a Starting XI position after impressing in the last two matches.

The nominees for the Kenyan Premier League SJAK Awards 2017 have been released with Sharks getting nominations in all but one of the categories. With 16 clean sheets from 29 matches Jeff Oyemba has been nominated for Goalkeepers of the year, Pascal Ogweno and Sven Yidah getting nominations for Defender and Midfielder of the year respectively.

Masoud Juma  who already has the golden boot in the bag has been nominated in the most valuable player category.  Our last nominee is none other than the coach, the man who brought the best out of the team and saw us finish in a respectable 3rd position in our maiden season in the top flight . Coach William Muluya has been nominated for the coach of the year award.

The awards gala are scheduled to take place on the 18th of this month .


We are pleased to announce the signing of Sydney Lokale from Nakuru All Stars FC on a four year deal. The 18 year old striker becomes our first summer signing after impressing the coaches in training with his pace ,dribbling skills and aerial prowess.

The striker , promoted from Junior Nakuru All stars team in June scored in his debut against Kibera Black Stars in the league and went on to become a regular in the team and managed to get an impressive six Goals at the end of the season.

Kariobangi Sharks have settled for a for the third position on the Kenyan premier League after leaving it late to pip Nakumatt 2-1 in league final tie on Saturday18 November at the Ruaraka Stadium. The win coupled with a draw by Posta Rangers against Mathare United and a huge defeat by Tusker FC in the hands of Ulinzi Stars saw  us  seal the third best team with 52 points  on only  our debut top flight appearance. 

  Nakumatt Fc went ahead from Clinton Kisiavuki's fine finish off the rights wing which stormed Nakumatt to a first half lead that the team let go late on to lose. Sven Yidah side footed Masud Juma's  cross past Nakumatt's Ezekiel Owade in the 80th minutes before substitute Ebrima Sanneh sealed the win with a glancing header four minutes to time.
