CHAIRMAN VISITS JAMHURI HIGH SCHOOL
Club chairman Mr. Robert Maoga yesterday paid a visit to Jamhuri High School Nairobi where he held extensive talks with the Principal Mr. Fred Awuor on matters to do with tapping, developing and showcasing young talents.
Both the chairman and the principal expressed optimism in the process as they look forward to a long term engagement.
“Our aim as a club is to be able to scout young talents and give them a chance at the very highest level of play. Being a youth centric team, this is our expected mode of operation. That is why we have visited this school today. We want to initiate a long term working relationship,” the chairman remarked.
“To see a top Kenyan club recognize our efforts in the development of young soccer talents is really motivating. It gives as even more reasons to keep going. I am happy to receive the chairman and to hold such deep and meaningful conversations on the development of our games at the high school level and the transition of young talents to the top flight,” the delighted principal added.
The club has already established good working relationship with Kakamega High School and Dagoretti Boys High School which has seen a number of players join the ranks of the senior team immediately after school. Just recently Finlay Osoro and James Outu have joined us from Dagoretti while James Mazembe, Henry Juma and Brian Bwire joined us straight from Kakamega High School at the beginning of the year.
Jamhuri High School also already boasts of notable alumni in our team in Harrison Mwendwa, John Oyemba and the head coach. In this new phase of partnership, one can only hope of better things to come.
The chairman left the school with a gift of ten balls and promised even better tidings in our partnership with the school which is also a powerhouse in high school soccer games.
