Our fixture against Chemelil Sugar FC brings more than just a contest for three points. This, because of the ever-growing number of Chemelil old boys in the Sharks team roster. This weekend will see up to four players in contention for a chance play against their former club.
New signing Samuel Olwande who has cemented his place at the back line is the most likely of the four start against a side he played for some few seasons ago. The Kenyan international who made his premier league debut at Chemelil will look to continue with his fine displays at the heart of the defence this weekend. Shaphan Oyugi is also an old boy having joined Sharks from Chemelil back in 2018. He has seen some few minutes of action and this maybe the game he gets his season up and running against a familiar foe.
Defender Armani Kyata who is back in training is also in place for contention for a place in the trip to Awasi. The Tanzanian even scored against Sharks while in Chemelil colors back in 2018. He however will be subjected to a late fitness test.
South Sudanese international Kuol Chol closes the list of the four. Like Shaphan, he joined us directly from Chemelil back in 2018. He will however be unavailable for selection as he has traveled to Juba to link up with his national team.
