CONFIRMED! Athanas Mdam Enimias is officially a Shark

Kariobangi Sharks have officially confirmed the signing of Tanzania winger Athanas Mdam from Singida United on a three year deal.

The forward put pen to paper on Thursday 21 February, a week after his former side broke the news of his imminent departure.

He becomes our fourth foreign player  after Ebrimma Sanneh, Matthew Tayo Odongo and George Abege.

Gone through

“I’m really happy that the deal has gone through,” he said, “The team has welcomed me with open arms and I am ready to repay the coach’s faith with my performances on the pitch.”

He is not eligible to play though until the mid-season transfer window opens on March 11.

The forward who has represented Tanzania at U-20 level was part of the Singida United team that featured at this year’s SportPesa Cup, losing in the opening round to Bandari FC.

He joins us as we are in the midst of fighting for the league title. We currently lie in 6th place with 21 points, seven adrift of top spot.
