FKFPL: Early kickoff showdown with Bidco for the Sharks
The Sharks will resume their FKF Premier League campaign with an early kickoff encounter with Bidco United on Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium Annex from 1 pm.
It will be the fifth time that the two teams will be going head-to-head in the top flight. The record is split down evenly in the middle as each team has claimed victory once in the four previous matches with the other two ending in score draws.
The lads won the last meeting 2-1 in April of 2022. Former Shark, Eric Mata bagged a brace with a goal on either side of Stephen Waruru’s equalizer.
Waruru, Alex Juma and Lameck Oloo are the current players in the Bidco squad to have scored in this fixture. Julius Masaba is the only player remaining from our side to have found the net against the Thika-based side.

William Muluya’s young guns have won their last two matches which is the first time this season that they have won back-to-back games. They followed up an emphatic 5-1 win over Posta Rangers last weekend with a 1-0 win over visiting Bandari FC in midweek. Those two wins, after a six-game winless run, have seen us rise to ninth on the log with 14 points, the same as 10th-placed Bidco who saw their unbeaten run ended at four games by Mathare United in midweek.
Bidco have played 11 matches which is one more than we have.
Shariff Musa scored his third goal of the season in the win over Bandari and now trails Tyson Otieno and Kevin Musamali who are tied at the top of the scorer’s chart with four goals apiece.
Former Shark, Henry Juma leads all scorers for Bidco this season as he has found the net three times. The others on more than one goal are Eric Gichimu and Ezekiel Okare on two goals each.
A win on Saturday can see us move up to seventh on the standings, at least before the round concludes, with 17 points.
