FKFPL Preview: Sharks vs Bandari at Kasarani

We are back in premier league action this Wednesday where we will play host to Bandari FC at the MISC Kasarani Stadium from 3 PM. It will be our first match against the Coastal outfit this season where a win can see us move all the way up to ninth on the FKFPL Standings.

Both teams have faced off against each other in the topflight a total of 12 times since our promotion in 2017. Bandari has the superior head-to-head record with seven matches won. Only one of our previous matches has failed to provide a winner.

As we head into round 12, we are tied on 11 points each on the FKFPL log. A superior goal difference of +3 sees us sit in 11th place, two places above the Dockers.

Tyson Otieno (Top) netted a brace over the weekend against Posta Rangers and is now tied on four goals at the top of the scorers’ list with Kevin Musamali.

William Muluya’s charges come into tomorrow’s tie buoyed by their 5-1 win over Posta Rangers over the weekend that emphatically ended a six-game winless run.

The boys showed great character to come back from a goal down and seal the win. Tyson Otieno netted a brace with Kevin Musamali, Keith Imbalia and Moses Shikanda adding gloss to the scoreline.

Bandari on their part have lost their last two matches to AFC Leopards and Ulinzi Stars. Anthony Kimani’s men have had a torrid time in Nairobi where they haven’t won in their last five visits to the Capital. They have however had considerable success against us in recent meetings, winning four of the last five matchups.
