Kenya under 20 national team, the rising stars, kicked off their CECAFA U20 campaign with an emphatic 5-0 drubbing of Zanzibar with four Sharks players playing a part in the rampant team.

Goalkeeper Brian Bwire led the team as the captain and grabbed a clean sheet for himself between the sticks. A familiar face in Tom Teka helped Bwire man the Kenyan goal as Patrick Otieno played on the right hand side of midfield.

Up front, Sydney Lokale put up an excellent display, hitting his first hat trick in national team colors. The lanky striker hit four of the five goals to steer clear of the rest in the scoring chats after match day 1 with this man of the match performance.
