KAPAITO SEEKS TO MAINTAIN PERFECT RECORD AGAINST CHEMELIL
Our record goal scorer Erick Kapaito started the season on a high scoring just 30 minutes into our league opener against Western Stima. The striker has however endured an unfamiliar three game goal drought, since then in the two draws and a loss that followed.
If he needed any encouragement to get back to the scoring sheet, then this weekend may just be the perfect opportunity to get back to scoring ways as he faces a team against which he holds a 100% scoring record. Since joining us, he has faced Chemelil Sugar FC thrice and scored in all the three occasions.
“I have a good record against them. I want to continue with it by getting a goal this weekend. As a
striker, it happens at times that their games against some opponents that things just go well. I am
hoping to continue scoring against Chemelil,” he said.
On his three games goal drought…
“I am a person who loves to aim high. I set a bar for myself when I won the golden boot and I cannot go below it; the only way is to go higher. Going three games without a goal upsets me because I know my capabilities and I should be doing better than that. I am working hard in training everyday and I believe I will be back on the scoring chats.”
The striker is yet to hit form this season but if his previous records is anything to go by then he is a one man you can count on to bounce back.
