LOKALE PLEASED WITH OPENING CLUB DECADE ACCOUNT
It took only 10 minutes into their first match of the decade for Sharks to score their first goal of the decade. It was befitting that the goal came from the man tasked to start upfront at the centre forward. That man was none other than Sydney Lokale.
The lanky forward hit a left foot strike from inside the penalty box after Sofapaka failed to clear a dangerous cross. He beat the goalkeeper on his near post after he reacted the fastest to the loose ball.
He expressed his delight in achieving the feat;
“I am very pleased to get the first goal of the decade for the club. I have been working hard during the mid season break and I felt good to score with just my first shot on target. I will be remembered for opening the account this decade and that is such an important stat for me.”
It was the third time he scored against Sofapaka in just four matches against them and he concluded with a word about that;
“I am happy to hit them again. As a striker, when you score more than once against a team it gives some edge when you meet again. You enter the pitch with that confidence in you knowing that you can do what you did before once again. That is what I told myself before this game and it paid.”
