
MATCH REPORT: SHARKS 1-0 BANDARI
Kevintom Machika 9th minute strike was enough to inspire Kariobangi Sharks to 1-0 victory over Bandari FC in match day 16 League match.
First Half
It was another positive start for the boys as for the second game running they scored inside the first ten minutes. It was Kevintom Machika who bagged the goal in the 9th minute from a James Mazembe cross.
Sharks almost doubled the lead through a Patila Omoto free kick but he was denied by the crossbar and the resultant rebounce from captain Eric Juma went just inches wide.
Shaphan Oyugi them went into the referees book for a hard tackle on winger Abdallah Hassan who was also booked for retaliation.
Second Half
Peter Oudu replaced Shaphan Oyugi who was walking on a tight rope in the 57th minute while Daniel Sakari came in for Patrick Ngunyi.
Brian Bwire produced a crucial save in the 63rd minute after blocking Shaban Kenya tap in at close range after a dangerous cross from the left had beat the entire defence.
A well built 71st counter attack also saw Sharks double the lead as Patila Omoto set up Daniel Sakari but the winger’s shot hit the side net.
Bwire was on toes again when called into action as he denied Abdalla shot from inside the box.
Kuol Chol was introduced in the 80th minute to lock down the game and it worked well as he put his height to advantage by dealing with the menacing crosses from the opponents.
The Sharks eventually held on to the lead to register afourth league win over Bandari and add their points tally to 13.
