The past week has seen national teams take part in AFCON Qualifiers and international friendly matches with Sharks players drawing mixed fortunes.

It was all good news for Kuol Chol on duty for South Sudan national team. The defender featured in both legs of their AFCON 2021 Preliminary Qualifiers as they overcame Seychelles to book a place in the AFCON 2021 Qualifying round group stages.

The Bright Stars beat Seychelles 2-1 in Khartoum on Thursday 10^th October before completing the double with a 1-0 victory away in Blantyre on Sunday 13^th October with Kuol featuring in both matches.

For Kenya, it was disappointment in Nairobi as they went down 0-1 to visiting Mozambique in an international friendly. Samuel Olwande registered his 2^nd start for the Harambee Stars while Duke Abuya also featured, coming in as a 2^nd half substitute in the match played on Sunday afternoon.
