NATIONAL DUTY: JOHN KUOL CHOL CALLED UP FOR SOUTH SUDAN

Center back John Kuol arrived safely in Juba where he has joined the National team camp. The Bright Stars as the South Sudan side is nicknamed are set to play Uganda next week in the AFCON under 23 Qualifiers.

This is the first time Kuol will be featuring for his country and he was received warmly with the South Sudan Football Association president Francis Amin welcoming him to the camp and handing him jersey number 6.

The defender has been going from strength to strength, joining premier league side Chemilil Sugar early this year just after completing his secondary school and later on crossing over to our side in the mid season.

His impressive displays have finally earned recognition and he even turned down the offer to feature for Kenya instead stuck with his ancestral country.

The club C.E.O Ms Lynda Ambiyo is delighted with the developments and she believes it shall go a long way in strengthening the Kakamega High School alumnus as a player as well as our team’

“Having our players feature for their respective national teams is good as it is a level where the pressure is high and so for a young player the lessons and many and the more players we have in national teams the better since it will give them the confidence in our upcoming CAF matches as we travel abroad.”
