OMOTO: WE CAN DO IT AGAIN AGAINST THE GOR MAHIA
Patila Omoto has been a mainstay at the heart of the Sharks midfield. He was part of the squad that played Gor Mahia FC in the team’s debut match at the Kenyan Premier League back in March 2017. The team lost on that day and didn’t register a win against Gor until just last season. It is the heroics against the champions last season that the midfielder wants the team to build on.
“We broke the duck against them last season. It is important we continue with that momentum. We have shown we have the capability to compete against them and against the best in the country and the region.”
“We know they can feel us now. Contests against them are no longer a walk park. They know its always a difficult game and we also know it a tough game.”
“Sports is about building on your gains. We have beaten them twice in the last three meetings we had and so we have to build on that. I believe we have the players and the belief to do it. So we want to give our best on Sunday and get a positive result.”
