SAKARI: FEBRUARY UNBEATEN RUN A SIGN OF RESILIENCE
The month of February has so far been the best month for the Sharks this season. The Sharks did manage to go unbeaten winning three and drawing one match in the process. Three clean sheets were kept in that period and only one goal was conceded with qualification the Betway Cup round of sixteen also being secured.
Additionally, the Sharks also registered the highest ever scoring League win when they thumped Kisumu All Stars 8-1 at the Kasarani Stadium on 2nd February 2020.
Utility man Daniel Sakari pegs this turnaround in form on the resilience in the team;
“We are one family and we never give up no matter the situation. We have always told ourselves that things will get better if we keep on working hard. What you are seeing now is the wonderful resilience we have among the players. These guys will never back down from a challenge no matter the situation.”
“We are building our mental strength every day. Just like we never lost hope during the rough period we will also not loose focus now that things are turning around. It is important that we stay focused and keep working towards finishing the season strongly,” he added.
The winger will be hoping to keep his place down on the right side in the new found 3-5-2 system of coach William Muluhya when the Sharks visit Mbaraki Stadium on the 7th of March 2020.
