SHARKS 2- 0 CHEMILIL: COACH WANTS A TOP 3 PLACE MIDDWAY THROUGH THE LEAGUE

Coach William Muluya was happy with the determination that the boys showed in their win against Chemilil. The game was locked until the 71st minute when Patilah Omoto broke the deadlock and a late goal by Kapaito calmed the nerves.
Speaking after the match, the coach urged his charges to keep the fire burning and aim for the top 3 place by the time we reach the midway of this league campaign. Here are some of his remarks;
On the goals coming late
We were really not ourselves in the first half, we lacked the rhythm and when we found ourselves in the box we couldn’t keep the composure. In the second half however I was impressed by the response and resolve that the boys showed to keep pushing until the goal came. That should be the team spirit.

On Kapaito opening his 2018/19 season account
It is really good for him. He had a great season last year and you know we are looking up to him to do well again. After his struggles with injury, it is important that he got the goal today and I hope for many more.

On whether the team is still in the title race
For now, the target is to keep winning a game at a time. I am looking forward to see us finish the first round at the top three. From there you can see we will have a realistic chance of still going for it. So we have got to push for that third place finish. The league this season is very unpredictable.
On having his players active during the international break
Playing for your national team is a great honor and I am happy to see my players called up. There are lots of lessons to be learned in international football. As long as my players are available when I needed them for the club duty, I am satisfied.
