Kariobangi Sharks FC to join TikTok,http://vm.tiktok.com/akUCxj/ , the world’s leading destination for short-form mobile video. The club becomes the first club in sub-Saharan Africa to join the platform and only the second one in the entire continent.
Sharks officially launched on TikTok on Friday 18th October 2019. The acceptance on the platform has been impressive with over 50 followers subscribing in just the first 12 hours after the account was opened.
The first video drew 808 by Tuesday and the video showing the team arrival to the Afraha Stadium on Saturday has got over 5000 views by the time of writing.
Football content is very popular on TikTok, where it has a great reception among users, mainly the millennials and the Z generation.

The TikTok boom is spreading across the globe as it was the most downloaded app in 2018. This launch is a clear example of the love and affinity that the club generates among the younger audience, which forms the main user base of users.
