SHARKS DROP TO FIFTH AFTER CITY STARS LOSS.
Sharks succumbed to a 0-1 result to mark their fifth loss of the season courtesy of Nairobi city Stars on matchday 17.
Sharks were quick to show flashes of brilliance as they settled early into the encounter.
Julius Masaba’s burst from his own 18 yard area all the way to the City Stars goal proved unsuccessful after He fired just inches wide with only Osano to beat.
Henry Juma who was marking his fourth start of the season quickly noticed an uncomfortable Osano on the ball whom He outmuscled and won the ball only to fire at the latter who had thrown his body on the line to make up for his mistake.
A couple of other chances went begging before the first half came to a close as Mokaya saw his shot trickle past the goal line and Fortune Omoto’s trickery couldn’t break the City Stars defense.

The second half saw several changes effected as a wasteful Henry Juma and a worn out Alushula were replaced by Odede and Geoffrey Onyango.

Sharks commanded most of the possession but a miscued pass by Mokaya to Omoto was intercepted and City Stars attacked on the first break to get the goal which would latter on separate the two sides.
An off color Felix Oluoch was ejected for John Omondi and Masaba who had been a live wire was forced out after a shoulder injury with Wanyama coming on to replace him to mark his second appearance of the season both as a second half substitute.

The defeat means the Sharks will sit fifth on the log after 17 outings with 28 points.
Up next is a date with Kenya Police on 12th Saturday at Nyayo Stadium.
