SHARKS FALL SHORT AT THE HANDS OF NZOIA.

Sharks succumbed to their sixth loss of the season courtesy of a 0-1 result against Nzoia Sugar FC.

The win means the millers have completed a double on Sharks after a 3-1 win in the away fixture held on 11th December,2022 apparently their second win of the season.

Quick settling into the game

The visitors were quick to affirm their intentions as early as the 14th minute when Mahiga whipped in a dangerous cross in the Sharks goal area only for Joseph Mwangi to head over.

Mwangi who proved difficult to contain was at it again in the 34th when He struck from distance only to see his effort hit the woodwork.

The second half rejuvenation

In the second half, Nzoia showed no signs of taking their feet off the gas pedal springing into action in the 49th minute when Kibande delivered an inviting ball that evaded the entire defense only to be met by an arriving Mwangi to poke home Nzoia’s opener.

Later on Enock Wanyama and Henry Juma were introduced for Geoffrey Onyango and Felix Oluoch.

In the 85th minute, Erick Mata was fouled in the box only for Bonface Onyango to see his penalty saved by Katasi.

Next assignment

The loss sees the lads drop to fourth ahead of the next fixture against Wazito FC on 4th March.
