SHARKS MAUL SOFAPAKA TO GO SECOND.

An emphatic 3-0 win over Sofapaka yesterday saw Sharks leap to 28 points in 16 league outings so far.

The Sharkmen quickly settled in the game attacking from both flanks,the pressure finally paid off in the 17th minute when hard tackling Bonface Onyango converted from the spot after the ever running Julius Masaba was brought down in the area.

Some fine tactical display in terms of team function defending from The Sharks who ensured their lines were close and compact enough kept the Sofapaka attacks at bay to end the opening 45 with the advantage.

The second half saw an off colour Erick Mata pulled out for Reagan Odede and Patilah Omoto rested for teenager Isaac Wasambo.

Non stop pressing from the first line of press in the 85th minute ultimately bore fruits when Reagan Odede was triggered by an uncomfortable Ojunga to poke the ball which turned assist to Fortune Omoto who made no mistake in doubling Sharks’ lead for his second of the season.

Frederick Alushula replicated a move against FC Talanta at stoppage time after weaving his way through the right channel past Achesa to lay a delightful pass to goal poacher Felix Oluoch who tapped into an empty net for his ninth of the season to sit top of the Top scorer’s chart alongside Police’s Clifton Miheso.
