The Sportpesa FKF Shield Cup draw was conducted on the morning of 7th March 2019 at the Panafric Hotel Nairobi. Being the defending champions and three consecutive time semi finalist, we were categorized in POT 1.
The draw for the round of 32 saw us paired against Elim FC of Kitale, Trans Nzoia County. The match will be played on March 16, 2019 with the finals set for June 1, 2019.
Club CEO Ms Lynda Ambiyo, present at the draw was optimistic that the boys will replicate their 2018 performance and defend the title.

“I am expecting the boys to give it their all. To get to the top is one thing, but staying at the top is what makes a team great. We are on course to stamping our authority in local football and defending titles is the sure way to do it. So we are going to put our best foot forward.”

She further underlined the importance of setting a threshold, a bare minimum that challenges the team to push themselves this season I of which she says stands way ahead of schedule at the moment;

“When we gained promotion to the top flight in 2017, our vision was to get our club to play at continental level in five years. We managed to get there in just our second year and now it is important that we make it consistent. That is the way to become a top club.”

All eyes will surely be set on the defending champions and it will be the time for the boys to once again step up and show the world that we are sharks.
